Questions

1. What challenges did you encounter when creating your product?
- When creating this product, I didn't encounter TOO many problems. The biggest problem of mine, was actually coming up with a design. Once I stopped thinking too much about it, I made the abstract patter on my icon. Working with ROME, I have decide that I really like doing abstract and/or geometrical patterns.

2. How did you cope with these challenges?
- Really, I was just thinking too much. Once I stopped thinking and just started exploring ROME, my icon came together(:

3. What went particularly well in creating your product?
- I think the colours I used and the brush strokes I picked worked out quite nicely!

4. If you were to redo the project from the very beginning, what would you do different?
- Maybe I would try using more challenging things on ROME, rather than just sticking to the basics. But I really like using the basics. I feel comfortable with it, and it works well for me.

5. What is something you can take from this project that can aid you after its completion?
- I'm not sure really......
The image on the right, is my icon. I made it very abstract looking with darker colours. I put my initials on it on a very light green colour, so it can pop against the dark teal, red, and navy.

this is my 3rd project I've done on rome. I really like the colours that I used, and I like the abstract feel of it.

The image on the left, is one I created using ROME. It was a bit challenging to use at the beginning, but I soon got a hang of it. The pattern was inspired by the design on my favourite guitarists (Eddie Van Halen) guitar. I started off by painting the entire background red, and the using the pen tool, I added the white, and turned it to make the red and white pattern. When that was finished, I used the paintbrush to add the black diagonal streaks. I am actually very pleased with the way it turned out.

I edited the photo on the left, I added more highlights, and shadows, but saturated it, so it can have some colour, while having shadows.

The photo on the top left, is the picture I edited using iphoto. The original is on the right of it. What I did, was saturate the photo, and I made it sharper and gave it a colour boost. This gives it a much more lively and summery look.
